Volunteer Aid Workers - Are You a Good Human Being?

https://de.ivisa.com/serbia-self-assessment-form

It is a commonly known fact that the Serbs are not fond of Muslims. On an individual level, my husband was advised by his own Serb uncle a Muslim man should not be permitted to marry a Christian girl. Obviously , he was devastated and didn't return to our place for 2 months. Then, he was prepared to undergo marriage with a Christian woman only if there was no immediate danger to his life.

Fortunately, he escaped to Canada where he could marry a beautiful woman without fear of repercussions. Sadly, his experience is not an isolated person. While in Belgrade he observed how a Muslim guy beat up a Christian girl because she didn't finish a religious test. The lady afterwards died from her injuries.

In reality, this episode took place in front of my eyes and I neglected to intervene. That's why I use the"No" option once I fill the" Volunteering in my Own Nation" self evaluation form. However, it should be said that the exact same cannot be said about the volunteer services in Afghanistan and Iraq. There have been a number of instances of violence and rape against minorities. The victims are Muslims and Christians alike.

I can only expect that the authorities of Serbia will introduce a law which prohibits all forms of discrimination irrespective of gender, religion or race. I was amazed to find out that the government of Serbia has nothing great to suggest so far as the security of minority communities is worried. There's no legal provision for victims of crimes to file for compensation from the criminals. Therefore, filling the"Volunteering in my own country" self evaluation form is totally voluntary.

In a situation like this, any person who wants to assist the disadvantaged people of his country should do this without any feeling of shame. According to a recent survey, nine out of every ten Serbs consider themselves as good philanthropists! This is quite an wonderful figure when you come to think of it. It also goes to show that not all of them are selfish or egoistic. There are some very genuine feelings of empathy and concern which they want to help other people in need.

If you want to assist the innocent victims of ethnic cleansing in Chechnya, you can fill the"Voluntary Work overseas in my own Country" self evaluation form. You won't get any financial help. But, you will find a moral boost and feel great about yourself. And that is a priceless benefit!
